Terms of Service

1. The service

Learning Line helps homeschool families organize curriculum context, run adaptive placement assessments and recurring check-ins, review learning progress, and create parent-facing reports. The service currently supports parent accounts with child profiles and may include Math, Reading, Spelling, audio support, and other subjects as they are published.

Learning Line is an educational support tool. It is not a school, teacher, medical service, psychological service, or diagnostic product.

2. Parent accounts and child profiles

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your sign-in credentials, and all activity under your account. Children use profiles created and managed by a parent; children do not create independent Learning Line accounts.

You are responsible for ensuring that information you enter about a child is appropriate for the service and that you have the authority to provide it.

3. Assessments and learning information

Placement results and skill states are working estimates based on the content and responses available to Learning Line. They are not guarantees of grade-level performance, proof of mastery, diagnoses, or predictions about a child.

Learning Line may show suggestions such as skills to practice, skills to revisit, or possible next steps. Parents remain responsible for educational decisions and supervision.

4. Parent-provided context and AI features

Some planning features let a parent provide a short description of recent learning or a photo of a worksheet or lesson page. Learning Line may use its configured AI provider, Venice, to suggest matches from an approved topic catalog.

For lesson planning, AI suggests topic matches that parents review before confirming a check-in. For Ride-Along, AI can draft lessons and practice questions from a parent-selected academic topic. These drafts require parent review and approval before playback and may contain factual errors. Ride-Along and Practice & listen activities do not change scored assessment results.

Do not include information that Learning Line does not need, including medical, disability, mental-health, religious, financial, precise-location, or other sensitive details.

Narration, downloads, and Ride-Along

Read-aloud uses synthetic narration from available provider voices. A household may choose a published voice; voice availability may change. Narration can mispronounce words or symbols, so use the displayed text when checking meaning. Assessment audio remains subject to the learner’s support settings.

Practice & listen provides unscored practice. Downloaded packs include lesson text, practice answers, and audio stored in your browser. They remain available while signed out until removed or browser storage is cleared. Downloads retain their recorded voice. You are responsible for access to your device.

Ride-Along is for passengers or use while parked. Drivers must not view or operate the learning interface while driving. Follow local laws and vehicle restrictions. Learning Line is independent of vehicle manufacturers and does not control the vehicle.

5. Acceptable use

You may use Learning Line only for lawful, family or educational purposes. You may not attempt to access another household's information, interfere with the service, bypass security or access controls, upload malicious content, misuse another person's identity, or use the service to create a competing database of content or personal information.

6. Content and intellectual property

Rational Pursuits LLC and its licensors retain rights in Learning Line, its software, design, content structure, item bank, subject bundles, reports, and related materials. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive right to use the service for your household while your account is active.

You retain rights in information and materials you provide. You give Rational Pursuits LLC permission to process those materials only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service consistent with the Privacy Policy.

7. Third-party services

Learning Line may rely on infrastructure and service providers, including hosting, authentication, database, AI, email, and audio providers. Their services may have separate terms. Learning Line sends only the information needed for a particular feature and does not control the policies of independent providers.

8. Availability and changes

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features, content, or the service. We may update these Terms as the product changes. If a change is material, we will provide notice through the service or another reasonable channel. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Disclaimers and limits

Learning Line is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, Rational Pursuits LLC disclaims warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every educational purpose. We do not guarantee a particular learning outcome, assessment result, compliance result, or homeschool recordkeeping outcome.

To the extent permitted by law, Rational Pursuits LLC will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
